Updating fail

So obviously I've not been updating my site on a regular basis.  Life has been a continual challenge this past (almost) year.  I think that this was due to challenges in areas of my life that were not physical per se.  My physical  health remains about the same, although one knee is worse for the wear.  I am trying to challenge myself physically and have made physical challenge my 2020 goal.  I'm hoping to be able to start physical therapy sometime in January or February.  Also, due to other circumstances, I am seeking medical guidance from Mayo Clinic.  However their waiting period is 6-9 months to begin care with a family physician.  I've requested an appointment with Neurosurgery as well.  So fingers crossed.  A friend of mine coaxed me to get into the Mayo system since they are an all encompassing medical care facility.  Their doctors actually talk to one another!  Something that was lacking during my previous surgery in 2015.

As for dogs - they are pawesome!  They are the driving force behind my desire to participate in life daily.  I adore them.  I do my best with them and they adore me regardless of anything happening in my life.  We continue to adore one an other immensely!

And puppies??  Yes, we have a litter on the way!  Due on Christmas Day.  What a gift!!  :D

More to follow . . . . . .

Puppies are here!

We were blessed with a sweet litter of three early in January out of Gidget and Bo.  They are the most precious babies ever!  There are two boys and one girl.  Placement will be early April and I am currently in the process of interviewing for the right homes for these sweethearts!  Contact me for more information!

Busy, busy

It's been a pretty busy summer here.  Just everyday life has kept me with little time to spare.  Health-wise, I'm about the same if not a bit worse.  I will be consulting with a surgeon sometime likely in September to see what kind of options I have regarding my lumbar issues and the resulting pain I have on a daily basis.  I continue to do steroid injections to ease the pain at least a bit.  Some injections are better than others it seems.  Right now I'm feeling ok since the last go round.  But knowing it's a temporary fix kind of dampens the spirit.

Non physical challenges have been plenty recently.  But we continue to plug along here.  Hoping that the kindness of others may provide when we are in dire need.  Trying to motivate yourself sometimes in the face of adversity isn't easy.  But I try my best.

Mostly I continue to plug along for the sake of the pups.  They collectively are my muse.  They entertain, they love.  But they need too.  So I must provide.  And I do the very, very best that I am able in that department.  Right now their needs are few thanks to the help from a friend or two that continue to remain constant in my life.  And I thank you for that!  :)

And puppies!  For those of you that have been waiting for some good news - here it is.  Puppies are due in mid-October.  I will post the news on our upcoming litter page next!

So for now all is well.  Can't wait for the break in the summer heat.  Only about a month to go before the nights start getting nice and cool and the pups can extend their playtime outside.  Can't wait!

Goodbye

My litter of six is down to my final one - my "pick" that I call Lilly.  She makes me smile every day!

This litter was hard to watch leave the nest. Maybe because I was home and not working while they grew up.  Dougie and Timmy (now Cooper) left early and now reside in Oregon.  Josette (now Camellia Jayne) now resides in New Mexico.  Herman (now Dougie Herman) lives just up the 17 in Anthem.  And Angel is just to our south in Awahtukee.

I cried many tears as they all left.  I hope I made good choice - giving them all families that I trust will love them forever and give them all of the things I can't.  I'll miss you all.  My love and big pieces of my heart went with each one of you.  I'll never forget you.

It's Getting LOUD In Here!

I've never had to deal with a litter of six puppies before.  The largest litter one of my girls ever had was a litter of five - which was enough work!  But SIX???  O M G!

Don't get me wrong - these little buggers are cute.  I mean REALLY cute!  But the amount of work and laundry combined with the ever increasing decibel level . . . well it reminds me of why I only breed about once per year!  :)

The littlest puppy is thriving!  I call him Timmy (aka Tiny Tim).  He is such a sweetheart!  A big kisser in a little package.  Just adorable!  The other two boys are tanks in comparison size-wise but both are tremendously sweet boys.  And those girls!  So cute!  Not as kissy, but those tails are a waggin'!  They all love the toys that I've introduced.  They've discovered squeakies but they love to grab onto the floppy toys and shake them like crazy.  And teeth???  Oh yeah - they got 'em coming in.  No wonder Kiki stopped nursing them last week!  The pups are completely on hard food now - although they spill more than they eat!  I swear that half of a bag of food gets dumped by every litter!

And even though Kiki stopped nursing the litter last week, she still remains crate-side and diligent as a protective momma.  She doesn't let just anyone of the dogs explore what's going on in the nursery!

The puppies quickly outgrew their 2ft x 3ft puppy pen and have since moved into the 3ft x 3ft pen on New Year's Day.

The pups went nuts when they got into it - running like crazy just amazed at all of the room.  The extra space allowed for a nice cushy puppy bed that actually fit three quite well, at the time.  That won't last long unless they continue to pile on top of each other!  At least I used a smaller bed to start and there is still room for the larger version that I have.  I'll replace the small one with the bigger model very soon.

Some pictures since Christmas:

Continue to check my You Tube channel for video too!

I still have one (1) boy and one (1) girl available from this litter for placement in appropriate pet homes.  This litter will be ready to go to their forever homes anytime after 2/11/17.  You can email me for more information!

Growing Up!!

The puppies are growing quickly and I've spent way too many hours just watching them and marveling at the beauty of them growing up!  It is so awesome to watch them progress day by day as they learn new skills.  They just seem to be so happy.  They are healthy - nice shiny coats and bright eyes.  Strong little legs.  Teeth coming in.  This past week they started on puppy food mush and I introduced new toys to them.  They LOVE to eat!  LOL  Here are a couple of pics of them sleeping recently.  Check out my YouTube channel for video.

I still have two boys available to the right homes.  Please email for more info!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday!

Eyes Are Opening!

At almost 2 weeks old, the pups are all doing great - even the itty-bitty boy!  I was so worried about him!  But he is a little fighter and he's always willing to belly up to the bar when I find it available with no other takers.  I'll wake him up and place him with momma and away he goes!

Eyes are now open, all be it slightly, on all pups.  Beautiful eyes just as I had hoped.  They all still sleep all day except for nursing.  Over the next couple of weeks that will change as they begin to interact with one another once their vision focuses and they can each see their brothers & sisters.

From earlier today - left to right G G B B G B

You can visit my You Tube channel to see additional video of this as well as past litters.  Here is the link.

There are still pups available to the right forever homes.  Email me for more information.

And Then There Were None . . .

That was fun!  This last litter had a rocky start but the time flew by!  All puppies went to excellent pet homes and for that I am grateful!  Thank you to those who helped me in my dire times of need.  Shelly, Tracey & Stephanie - I could not have done this without your help and I am forever grateful.

We unfortunately lost a little boy puppy at about 4 weeks of age.  It was incredibly sad.  He's bouncing around now at the bridge with those that matter from here - his g'ma, g-g'ma and others are there to love him and teach him the way.  That at least gives me a bit of peace.

I will post some pictures and videos here hopefully next weekend.

Suffice it to say - this ended up to be a FUN litter.  They were adorable!  They were easy puppies to live with and they warmed my heart!  Video went to their future forever homes just about every weekend to keep the prospective parents up to date.  It was like I knew each new family before they flew in to pick up their babies!  One puppy is local to a repeat home which is so awesome!

So now we are on to the next litter.  For more information check out my Upcoming Litters page.

Puppies Are Here!

Born in the wee hours of 12/6/15, Misha delivered four babies.  There are three boys and one girl.  Mom and pups are doing well.  Pups are getting fatter by the day!  Eyes are now open and they should start pulling themselves up and beginning to toddle soon.  More as they grow!

The Graduate!

Abbie graduates from her Level 1 Puppy Training!  This makes me so proud!

CH Magic  x  CH Kiki
"Abbie"

Lil Bit had been placed at 12 weeks with a family that HAD to have her.  Against my better judgment, I placed her with that family.  Less than two months later, "Lil Bit" as I had called her before she left, came home to me nothing like she was when she had left.  She was "too much" to handle according to the family that had her.  My heart ached when a puppy that usually ran to me and covered me in kisses now cowered on the floor and urinated in fear.  I spent the next few months getting back the puppy I once knew - showering her in love and affection while training her to be a good girl with positive reinforcement.  I knew that once I had her back to the loving puppy she was in the beginning that eventually the right family would come along.  And they did!  My thanks to the Carlson family for making a loving and positive home for Lil Bit - who is now proudly and lovingly called Abbie!

Seriously Overdue!

Karen and Mark Galloway are the proud parents of a Shih Tzu crew in IL.  I'm happy to say that they have two very special black and white boys from AZ named Dallas and Magic!  Karen and I met thru a mutual friend a few years ago when she wanted to add to her canine crew and that's when Dallas headed towards the windy city.

He quickly fit it with his Shih Tzu sisters . . .

and even the family cat!

Fast forward to earlier this year and Dallas gained a new brother - Magic.  They are real life half brothers!  :)

I have to thank Karen for all of the great pictures she sends.  I wish you could have made the trip out to AZ with Mark to pick up Magic in January.  Hopefully soon we will meet face to face instead of just via email and phone calls.  Thank you for always being there for me when things seem bleak.  And thanks for giving my kids a great home and family!

Long Overdue!

Congratulations to the Halbach Family of Scottsdale!  They are the proud parents of Otis who was from the last Kiki x Magic breeding.  Otis joined a family that already loved Shih Tzu and Otis has an older brother Charlee.  They are getting along well!  Otis loves tennis balls, the rain and watching the birds and blowing leaves in his yard.  Good boy Otis!

Otis is brother to Bodhi who now lives in Pioche, NV, Magic who lives in Sugar Grove, IL, Abbie who also lives in Scottsdale and Gidget!  What a pretty litter of puppies you were and you are all turning into beautiful adult dogs with families that love you!  I'm so blessed to find the very best families for my pups!

If you have a WoTeH'sin kid and you haven't sent me a picture recently - please get in touch!  I love seeing your pictures and getting your emails!

Gidget Update!

Gidget got her first point yesterday in Jordan, MN!  Yea!!  :)

1 down - 14 to go!

And Then There Was One . . .

I have one remaining male puppy from the AM CH Kiki x AM/Intl CH Magic litter.  He is red/white with black tipping.  He would be a great pup for a family with well behaved children, for a home with an existing dog or for someone that just wants a beautiful Shih Tzu to love.  He has a great temperament and loves to be loved.

If you are researching breeders now for a potential puppy, email me for more information.  FYI, mom Kiki weighs in at about 11 pounds, dad Magic weighs about 10 pounds.

We Are NO LONGER LIVE!

ETA 12/13/14:
My subscription to Join Me has expired and at a cost of nearly $200 to renew, I can not justify the expense right now.  I can run basic, but the code changes daily and I can not isolate the camera screen so my entire desktop would be visible to the public.  Plus, during the past two weeks I have had numerous technical problems that kept kicking the whole thing offline.  Many of you out there probably don't understand also the amount of time I have to dedicate to bring this feature to you on a day to day basis and I just can't continue this considering my current medical issues.

I'm sorry to those of you that enjoyed the cam, but this current litter is older now and I'm not really sure when I will breed another litter, so for now we are offline until further notice.  My apologies to current puppy buyers.

Finally!  Puppy-cam is BACK!

I'm tweaking resolutions and trying to make the experience even more clear.  We'll see what happens.

Try it out!  Go to www.joinme.com.  This is a secure site.  Join my meeting with the password wotehsinst - that's it!  You can download an app for iOS and Android devices or watch on you desktop!  Be advised that this will suck your data on mobile devices so be sure you are on wifi.

Enjoy!
